Please join us on Thursday June 6, 2024 for the 17th Annual Alden 5K Race For Scholarships! The event will coincide with the annual Taste of Alden with proceeds being used to provide scholarship awards to deserving graduates of the Alden High School at graduation.
REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
Online registration will remain open right up until the start of the 5K race at 6pm. There will also be a Kids Fun Run that will take place on the High School Track at 5:30pm for kids 12 and under. Race day packet pickup will take place in front of Alden High School from 4pm until 6pm.
5K Run/Walk Start Time: 6pm
$30* / $35 on race day
*5K participants who register by May 20th are guaranteed to receive an official event t-shirt in their requested size. A small quantity of extra shirts will be ordered and distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis until they are gone.
Kids Fun Run Start Time: 5:30pm at Alden High School Track
$8.00 through race day
7 Years Old and Younger: 200 Meters
8-10 Years Old: 800 Meters (1/2 Mile)
11 Years and Older: 1600 Meters (1 Mile)
Mail-in Registration OptionIf you prefer to mail in your registration, please download both the race waiver and appropriate USATF liability waiver below and mail to the address shown. You must complete and mail BOTH waivers to the address shown on the waiver along with your check payable to Alden 5K Scholarship Fund. NEW: Virtual Registration Option (includes mailing of shirt in lower 48)Can't make the race... Participate virtually! Simply sign up for the 5K Virtual Race before it sells out. You choose the location and time to get out on your own and run/walk your 5K any time in the month of June. Feel free to use the FREE IYR Virtual App to track and score your run. You will also be able to manually enter your finish time directly to the IYR Results Page any time during the month of June. We'll automatically mail out your shirt about a week after the race.
POST RACE CELEBRATION
